Losing Weight By Regulating Food And Exercise
Reducing the quantity of food consumed on a daily basis is by far not the right route to take to reduce weight. Having a low calorie diet helps only when it is complimented by other methods. Because of different body metabolism levels, there are many who cannot lose extra pounds despite of following strict dieting measures. Medically, our body breaks the food we eat into simpler substances which are then absorbed for the production of energy. However, if the amount of calorie intake is higher than the total calories burnt, the excess amounts are stored in the form of fat. For this reason, it is always advised not to indulge in food items excessively rich in fat, proteins etc.
In order to shed the extra pounds gained, follow some simple weight loss tips, some of which have been mentioned below.
1) Drink Water: Water acts as a lubricant to the body thereby washing away all toxins and waste lined up along the intestines. Further, it also enables the liver to metabolize excess fat in the body.

2) Eat Spicy: Spicy food causes humans to sweat which is a good way to increase the body's metabolism rate. With an increased rate, more fat would be burnt by the body.
3) Small Meals: Instead of having 3 large meals, prefer eating small meals even if it means sitting on the dining table 5 - 6 times. Doing this would keep the digestive system active at all times, thus helping weight loss.
4) Don't Skip Meals: Do not do the mistake of skipping meals. If done, the body metabolism reduces which is works against the desired objectives. Further, people who starve themselves have a tendency to eat more during other times.
5) Drink Tea: As opposed to caffeine (present in coffee), tea is known to increase the body metabolism without causing any stress. However, excess quantities of the same may be detrimental (if you prefer to have sugar with tea).
6) Food: Increase dependency on food items such as fruits and vegetables so that there is a balance in the supply of energy in the body. Remember, we do not want loss of blood sugar levels or lack of energy.
7) Reduce Fat Intake: It would not be correct to state that items containing fat should be avoided. However, do try to reduce its amount (approx. 10% - 15% of daily calories should come from fat).
Apart from following the food tips, also try and give your body some light workout. Jogging or brisk walks during the mornings would not only keep you energetic but also increase the body metabolism which would mean burning calories even when sitting in the office. Remember, the exercise should be light weight only - the aim is not to build a body but reduce excess fat. Doing these continuously for a period of 1 week is bound to show positive results. Whether you want to continue it further is purely your decision. Just make sure that you don't go back to old habits and regain those lost pounds.
