Self-Hypnosis - A Way To Weight Reduction
Self-hypnosis has been under scrutiny for a number of years for some reason or the other. The latest development in this field is the possibility of using it to lose weight. Researches have shown positive results which are being welcomed by all who are looking for effective ways for weight loss. The aim of this article is to provide all possible information on how weight loss may be achieved by self-hypnosis.
We all know what self-hypnosis is all about. As children, we used to admire the magicians for just this. A good number of people regard hypnosis is a bad practice primarily because of outcome i.e. brainwashing. However, this is not relevant in the case of weight loss because not only is it voluntary but also for the benefit of the patient. The idea is to send subliminal messages to the subconscious mind to cause the maximum impact (because we have no control over it and no preprocessing can be done by us). These messages may be in the form of photos, sounds, images, words etc. (anything that can cause transfer of the desired notion).
The reason why hypnosis is more effective compared to normally stating the facts are because unlike conscious mind where we can evaluate and reason with everything, we cannot analyze information in the subconscious mind. They are directly processed and accepted by the brain (something that we would normally find very hard to digest).

As far as weight loss is concerned, the messages sent to the brain all belong to the category of affirmations. 90% of the messages are nothing but positive statements which are sent with an aim to boost the motivation levels. An empowered individual can work towards achieving the desired goals much more efficiently than someone who has not. Some examples of these affirmations include:
1) I desire to stay health and fit
2) I will indulge in regular exercises
3) Obesity is not what I want
4) Getting rid of excess weight is possible
5) Losing weight will make me more attractive etc.
If these are normally told to us, they might not have an impact with us ruffling them away. This however does not happen in the case of self-hypnosis. Because the patient is in a hypnotic state of mind and the messages are repeated multiple times, they are bound to enter the unconscious mind.
Effects of undergoing this treatment can be seen in the following ways:
a) Less hunger pangs
b) You will automatically get more choosy with the food you eat
c) Engaging in activities such as exercises and not feel tired for longer periods
As you can understand, it is the three above mentioned effects that actually lead to weight loss under normal procedures too. The only difference between undergoing a normal weight loss plan and that with self-hypnosis is that the body instead of opposing the changes would help achieve the objective.
CDs and MP3s which can assist in self-hypnosis are easily available in the markets. For maximum gain, make sure to follow the practice in a peaceful environment, someplace without distractions.
